3 January 2010. World record holder in 10m air rifle, Gagan Narang will be doing his MBA from Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) and will be making Delhi his new home till the Commonwealth Games later this year. MRIU also felicitated the champion shooter for his latest double gold medal at the recently held Asian Air Gun Championships at Doha and Gold at the World Cup won earlier this year.
In a deal struck by TopGun Sports, Gagan will be doing a fully sponsored MBA at this university.
"I always wanted to do MBA and am very thankfull to Manav Rachna International University for giving me this oppurtunity to persue my studies further. The sporting atmosphere here helped me in opting for this university. Along with the course, I will try and promote sports in schools and colleges of Manav Rachna. Sport can be promoted as an alternative to anti-social behaviour, but more than that, it develops the personal skills of individuals. Education, combined with sports gives an edge to an indivudal...necessary in today's competitive world. Armed with an MBA one can find an alternate career after sports is over. And even while persuing professional sports, a sense of understanding of its economics helps one to manage oneself better. I am not negating the importance of Jerry Maguires but it is always better for the sports people to be equipped. So I am proud to be here and I would like to see international medallists from this university in the future" said multi-world cup gold medallist shooter Gagan Narang.

MRIU also launched their rifle club and declared the range open and ready for use which was a few months back inaugurated by Olympic Gold medallist Abhinav Bindra.
"Manav Rachna Rifle Club will be promoting and developing shooting sports with an aim to produce world class shooters in the coming years. The club also intends to conduct safety and handling certification courses for gun license holders", said Amit Bhalla, president of Manav Rachna Rifle Club .
