The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu is maintaining a Shooting Range at Tamilnadu Special Police III Battalion, Veerapuram in association with Police Department. The shooting range is located at Tamilnadu Special Police III Battalion, Veerapuram which is about 6 km from Avadi. Apart from this there are many other shooting clubs and academies in tamil Nadu. You may start with the 10 meter Air Rifle or Air Pistol. It is not very expensive and there are no licensing requirements for these two events. All the best.

The best way to get started is to join a shooting academy in your city. Most academies also offer equipment on rent to their members for training. You may start with the 10 meter Air Rifle or Air Pistol events under guidance of a qualified shooting coach or an experienced shooter.
