Olympian Ayonika Paul won the women’s 10m air rifle at the 1st Selection Trial held at Thiruvananthapuram.
Ayonika overcame a quality field in the final which had the likes of Olympic quota winners Apurvi Chandela and Anjum Moudgil.
Ayonika shot 627.4 to qualify for the final in the seventh place and then shot 252.0 to finish on top.
Zeena Khitta, who topped the qualification with 630.0, finished 0.9 point behind Ayonika in the final to take the second place.
Apurvi came third while Anjum finished seventh.
Zeena was slightly better in the junior final as she shot 251.4 to finish first.
