Visnu Shivaraj Pandian, who has been trained by Topgun Shooting Academy, will be seen in action at the Khelo India Youth Games in Pune.
Visnu, who turned 15 only a week back, is one of the youngest among the 16 participants in the under 17 category for boys.
Last month Visnu had put up an impressive show by winning two medals at the 62nd National Shooting Championship in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He had registered a qualification score of 624.4 in the men’s 10m air rifle and was the youngest among the other finalists. Visnu had eventually finished 7th in a strong field which included World Cup bronze medallist Ravi Kumar and Asian Games silver medallist Deepak Kumar.
However in the civilian section, Vinsu won the bronze and a junior silver.
Visnu started shooting in 2015 at Topgun Shooting Academy.
