14-year-old Visnu Shivaraj Pandian, who has been trained by the Topgun Shooting Academy, gave an impressive performance by winning two medals and was also the youngest finalist in the men’s 10m air rifle at the 62nd National Shooting Championship in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Visnu shot a qualification score of 624.4 which placed him 8th in the final among country’s best rifle shooters including World Cup bronze medallist Ravi Kumar and Asian Games silver medallist Deepak Kumar. Visnu eventually finished 7th.

However in the civilian section, Vinsu won the bronze and a junior silver.

Visnu started shooting in 2015 at the Topgun Shooting Academy with coach Yogender Singh Shekhawat and under the personal guidance of former India shooter Shimon Sharif.

“We are very grateful to Topgun Shooting Academy for it’s training and continuous support”, said Visnu’s mother Meenakshi Sridhar.
