walter_300X79pxAbhinav Bindra, India’s only individual Olympic gold medallist, has come full circle as he had his last ever training session at his home range in Chandigarh with his first ever coach Col JS Dhillon.

Bindra who has decided bring the curtains down at the upcoming Rio Games, trained for one last time at the state-of-art shooting facility at his home in Zirakpur, Chandigarh.

Bindra invited his first ever coach Col JS Dhillon to oversee his last training session at his home range.

33-year-old Bindra shot a very high training score of 634.6 which also included a 107.2. Bindra’s mother framed his score sheet.

Bindra was just 13 when he went to train under former shooter Col Jagir Singh Dhillon, who remembers Bindra as a short-tempered but shy and dedicated teenager. The coach says Bindra gradually learnt to hold his nerves and came out as an immaculate finisher.

Once Bindra started shooting high scores he was sent abroad to train with the best in the business.
