Ankur Mittal’s silver at the recently-concluded ISSF World Championship in Moscow has seen him rise to World No. 1 spot in the Men Double Trap, according to the ISSF rankings released on Sunday.
The change in rankings comes at a good time for Mittal, as the 25-year-old is gearing up for the ISSF World Cup Final, set to commence in New Delhi from October 23.
Ankur has been in red-hot form ever since he won a silver in season inaugural ISSF World Cup in New Delhi and followed it with a gold at the World Cup in Acapulco, Mexico.
The medal at Acapulco was Ankur’s second consecutive World Cup medal in less than a month time.
Later Ankur, claimed another gold at the 7th Asian Shotgun Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan.
