    Olympian Mairaj Ahmad Khan shot 120 out of a possible 125 and missed the men’s skeet final by two points in the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Larnaca, Cyprus, on Monday.

    Mairaj, the silver medallist of the Rio World Cup last year, looked in top form after the first four rounds (24,25,24,25) missing only two targets. In the last round, the 41-year-old missed three targets — which included two misses on station 4 — to register a round of 22 and finished 22nd in a field of 94 shooters.

    Angad Vir Singh Bajwa finished shot 118 (24,24,23,23,24) to finish 31st.

    Sheeraz Sheikh shot 109 (22,23,21,21,22) to finish 77th.

    The gold was won by Federico Gil of Argentina.

    Meanwhile, Wei Meng of China beat the six-time Olympic medallist Kimberly Rhode of USA 54-52 for the women’s skeet gold.
