Adarsh Singh of Haryana won gold medal in both the men’s and junior men’s 25m rapid fire pistol on the concluding day of the 12th Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters Shooting Competition in New Delhi.

The 17-year-old Adarsh, the reigning national champion, topped the qualification in both the events with a score of 584 and then registered 27 hits in the final to beat Army’s Gurmeet Singh by a point. It was indeed a thriller for Adarsh, after he started with only one hit in his first series.

Punjab’s Anhad Jawanda took the bronze.

In the junior event, Adarsh seemed to be in better control as he beat Chandigarh’s Vijayveer Sidhu 30-27 to claim the gold. The bronze was won by Ayush Sangwan of Haryana.
