    National Trials: Dhanush Srikanth takes top spot in Air Rifle (T6)

    Dhanush Srikanth of Telangana won the men’s 10m air rifle (T6) at the ongoing National Selection Trials being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

    The 17-year-old, Dhanush, shot a score of 252.1 to claim the top spot with a margin of 1.4 point.

    Earlier in the qualification, Dhanush shot 626.9 to qualify for the final on the fifth place.

    Pankaj Kumar of Army, who had topped qualification with an impressive 631.8, came second with 250.7 while another Army shooter Sandeep Singh took the third spot ahead of 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Ravi Kumar of Air Force who finished 4th.

    Tokyo Olympic quota winner Divyansh Singh Panwar of Rajasthan also made it to the final but finished 5th.

    2018 Asian Games bronze medallist Deepak Kumar took the 6th place while Olympic bronze medallist Gagan Narang of Air India shot 623.4 to finish 28th in a field of 362 shooters.
