Shri Nivetha of Tamil Nadu won the won the women’s 10m air pistol (T7) at the ongoing National Selection Trials being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.
The 23-year-old Nivetha, who had finished second in T6 on Monday, shot a score of 239.7 in the final to finish 2.2 points ahead of Harshada Nithave of Maharashtra.
Earlier, Nivetha shot the third best qualification score of 576.
Anoushka Bhardwaj of Rajasthan finished third.
Haryana’s Yashaswini Deswal, who recently won gold at the ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, topped the qualification with 583 but finished fourth in the final.
Winner of T6, Ruchita Vinerkar of Railways shot 566 to finish 32nd in a field of 231 shooters.
