India’s Naresh Sharma once again finished second-last at the ongoing Rio Paralympics on Saturday.

The veteran shooter finished 44th in a field of 45 shooters in the Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone.

Sharma managed a qualification score of 606.5 at the Olympic Shooting Centre.

He started with a series of 100.6. In the second series, he could not improve his performance as he shot 101.9 points that got his total up to 202.5 points at the completion of the first two series.

Virtually out of the competition after a below-par performance in the first two series, he could only manage a meagre 98.6 and 101.4 points from his third and fourth series respectively.

The fifth series saw Sharma shoot a total of 102.9 points as he finished the event with 101.1 points in his sixth series to finish at a disappointing second-last place.

On Thursday, Sharma had finished second-last in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Standing.
