Promising shooter Ayushi Podder came up with victories in both the senior and junior women’s 50m rifle three positions events at the 1st Selection Trial in Thiruvananthapuram.
The 19-year-old Ayushi, who topped the qualification with a score of 1166, shot 452.3 in the final and 0.1 point less in the junior final to claim the double win.
Gaayathri N shot 0.4 point less than Ayushi to take the second spot while Lajja Gauswami came third.
Olympic quota winner Tejaswini Sawant shot 1151 to finish 13th in a field of 87 shooters.
Silver in the junior event was won by Bandhvi Singh while Sift Kaur Samra finished third.
Two days back Ayushi also won the senior and junior 50m rifle prone events with a personal best score of 621.7.
