Shooters of Topgun Shooting Academy bagged four medals at the recently concluded 64th National Shooting Championship held in Delhi and Bhopal.
Paarth Makhija (20), who has been trained by the academy, won the bronze with 229.9 (627.8) in Junior Men’s 10m Air Rifle after he won the gold in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team along with the newly crowned National Champion Rajshree Sancheti. Two months back, Paarth had also won gold in Junior Men’s 10m Air Rifle Team at the ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru.
Shaurya Sarin (20), who has been trained by the academy, won the bronze with 548 in Junior Men’s 50m Pistol. Shaurya had also won a silver at the ISSF Junior World Championship held in October.

Promising youngster Meenal Yadav (13), who currently trains at the academy, shot 557 to win the silver in Youth Women’s 10m Air Pistol Team along with Junior World Champion Naamya Kapoor and Tanisha Dabodia.
Visnu Shivaraj Pandian (17) and Pratyush Aman Barik (16) who train under the personal guidance of international shooter Shimon Sharif, were not at their best this time and shot 620.8 and 620.4 in 10m Air Rifle respectively. Visnu had registered the best qualification score of 629.0 at the previous edition held at the same venue in 2019. Knowing the two, they will surely bounce back in the competitions ahead.
