Trap shooter Namanveer Singh Brar was found dead with a bullet wound in his home in Mohali, India on Monday, with the police not ruling out suicide.
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohali, Gursher Singh Sandhu, it could not be conclusively said whether the 28-year-old died of suicide or due to accidental fire.

“We cannot conclusively say at this stage whether it is suicide or if it was accidental fire. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and the report is awaited. Once the report comes, it will help us arrive at some conclusion,” Sandhu said. The police were informed about the incident by the family of the shooter.
In March this year, Brar had competed at the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi and had bagged a bronze medal in Double Trap at the World University Games held in Korea.
