    Visnu Shivaraj Pandian will be the only Indian in action at the ‘Champion of Champions’ event of the ongoing President of Indonesia Open Tournament which concludes on Sunday.

    Visnu, who trains at the Delhi-based Topgun Shooting Academy, made the cut for the $4500 prize money event after registering the best qualification score of 629.7 in the men’s 10m air rifle on Thursday.

    The 16-year-old Visnu is the youngest among the eight shooters for the ‘Champion of Champions’ and will be up against a very strong field which comprises of World No.6 and Asian Games silver medallist Jung Eunhea, ISSF World Cup bronze medallist Keum Jihyeon, Olympian and World Cup gold medallist Cheon Min Ho and World No. 18 Nam Taeyun, all from Korea, Olympian and World Cup bronze medallist Jasmine Ser of Singapore, reigning African champion Osama Elsaeid of Egypt and Indonesia’s Olympic quota winner Vidya Rafika Rahmatan.

    Visnu had recently outgunned big names like Austria’s Olympic quota winner Martin Strempfl and World No.27 Etienne Germond of France to win gold in 10m air rifle at the 5th edition of the International Online Shooting Championship (IOSC) organized by indianshooting.com.
