In a stellar display of skill and precision, India’s top pistol shooter Anmol Jain clinched gold in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol, while American marksman Jeff Browning took the gold in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle at the highly anticipated TOPGUN CUP. Held at the newly inaugurated Topgun Shooting Academy in Sector 50, Gurugram, the two-day competition brought together some of the finest shooting talent.

This edition of the TOPGUN CUP held special significance, as it also marked the grand opening of Topgun Shooting Academy’s state-of-the-art facility, designed to meet the growing demand for world-class training in shooting sports across India. The academy aims to provide both aspiring and elite shooters with top-tier infrastructure, advanced equipment, and expert coaching.

Shimon Sharif, the first rifle shooter from Delhi to represent India at the ISSF World Cup, highlighted the importance of the new facility in nurturing future champions. “With shooting emerging as India’s most successful sport at the Paris Olympics, the need for accessible, high-quality training centers has never been more critical. Our new facility will serve as a launchpad for both upcoming and established shooters, providing them with the resources to excel at the highest level.”

It was a great opportunity to test my form in a high-pressure setting,” Anmol said after his victory.

Jeff Browning, returning to competition after a lengthy break, expressed his satisfaction with his performance and praised the new facility.

“I had taken a break from shooting for a few months, and I’m thrilled to return to competition. The state-of-the-art facility is impressive—it’s an excellent place for training and a fantastic venue for a match,” said Browning.

The success of the TOPGUN CUP not only highlighted world-class performances but also underscored the critical role of Topgun Shooting Academy in shaping India’s future shooting stars. With its focus on cutting-edge training and athlete development, the academy is set to play a pivotal role in the continued rise of Indian shooting sport on the global stage.
