Mehuli Ghosh of West Bengal, hailed for some time as one of the best woman rifle shooters of the country, stamped her class to win the women and junior women’s 10m air rifle events at the ongoing National Shooting Selection Trials being held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medallist, Mehuli, was bang on target in both the finals but her performance in the junior final deserves special praise as she shot a brilliant score of 254.0 which is 1.1 more than the existing senior World Record of 252.9 set by Olympian Apurvi Chandela at the ISSF World Cup held in New Delhi in February.

Aayushi Gupta of Uttar Pradesh won the silver while Meghana Sajjanar of Railways took the bronze.
