    Rudransh Khandelwal shoots World Record to win Gold at WSPS World Cup

    Rudransh Khandelwal and Nihal Singh won gold and silver respectively in the mixed 50m pistol SH1 at the ongoing WSPS World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.

    The 16-year-old Rudransh registered a score of 231.1 in the final to set a world record while Nihal shot 222.2 to finish second. The earlier world record stood in the name of another Indian and Paralympic champion Manish Narwal.

    Nihal shot the best qualification score of 536 while Rudransh was fifth with 529.

    Four Indians, including Rubina Francis and Rahul Jakhar, had made it to the final but finished fifth and sixth respectively.

    Paralympic champion Avani finished sixth in mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1. Avani had earlier won gold in the women’s 10m air rifle SH1 on the opening day.
