The road ahead for Timofey Aleynikov may be still very long but the 12-year-old boy from Russia is taking small but steady steps to follow the path set forth by his Olympian parents Lioubov Galkina and Yevgeny Aleynikov who share four Olympic medals between them.

Timofey has won the gold medal in the Junior Russian Shooting Championship.

Timofey shot 617.7 to qualify on the fifth place in the final and then shot 248.5 to claim the yellow metal.
