    CWG: Tejaswini Sawant, Anjum Moudgil make it 1-2 for India in women’s rifle three positions

    Tejaswini Sawant won her second medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, winning gold in the women 50m rifle three positions.

    The 37-year-old Tejaswini, who won silver in the 50m rifle prone yesterday, shot a CWG record of 457.9 to claim the title while Anjum Moudgil won the silver with 455.7.

    Scotland Seonaid McIntosh took the bronze.

    The former world champion in prone, Tejaswini shot the third best qualification score of 582 while 23-year-old Anjum topped with a CWG qualification record of 589.

    In the finals, Tejaswini led throughout and with her last shot on 10.5 sealed the gold, 2.2 points ahead of Anjum.

    Tejaswini took her medal haul from CWG to seven, she had won gold medals in 10m air rifle individual and pairs at 2006 and two silver and a bronze in 2010.

    Anjum had won a silver in the same event at the ISSF World Cup in Mexico, last month.
