    ECH: Julia shoots perfect 10.9 to bag Gold in Junior Women’s 10m Air Rifle

    Julia Ewa Piotrowska of Poland ended with a perfect 10.9 to win the gold medal in the Junior Women’s 10m Air Rifle on the opening day of the European Shooting Championship at Osijek, Croatia.

    The 19-year-old Julia, who wears the Capapie kit, shot 625.5 in the qualification and 249.8 in the finals to claim the title with a margin of two points.

    Eszter Meszaros of Hungary, who shot the best qualification score of 628.1, won the silver with a score of 247.8 while Alina Khizbullina of Russia took the bronze with 226.4 (625.7).

    In the men’s event, 18-year-old Danilo Dennis Sollazzo of Italy, who shot the best qualification score of 629.9, won the gold with 249.3 in the finals.

    Marko Ivanovic of Serbia shot 248.6 (621.9) to win the silver while Jesus Oviedo Jesus of Spain took the bronze with 225.6 (625.2).

    Women’s 10m Air Rifle: 1. Julia Ewa Piotrowska (Poland) 249.8 (625.5); 2. Eszter Meszaros (Hungary) 247.8 (628.1); 3. Alina Khizbullina (Russia) 226.4 (625.7).

    Men’s 10m Air Rifle: 1. Danilo Dennis Sollazzo (Italy) 249.3 (629.9); 2. Marko Ivanovic (Serbia) 248.6 (621.9); 3. Jesus Oviedo (Spain) 225.6 (625.2).
