    Selection Trials: Kiran Jadhav shoots more than World Record in Air Rifle (1)

    Kiran Ankush Jadhav shot a brilliant final to top the men’s 10m air rifle at the 1st Selection Trial held in Thiruvananthapuram.

    Kiran’s score of 253.4 is 0.6 point higher than the current World Record of 252.8 in men’s 10m air rifle set by China’s Haonan Yu at the ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro last year.

    Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil was also impressive in the final and took the second spot, 1.4 point behind Kiran while Nitish Kumar came third.

    Former Junior World Champion Hriday Hazarika (630.7) who topped the qualification, finished sixth.

    Rudrankksh went on to win the junior and youth events with impressive scores of 251.3 and 251.9.
