    Selection Trials: Mehuli Ghosh wins Women’s 10m Air Rifle T3

    Mehuli Ghosh of West Bengal upstaged Tilottama Sen of Karnataka to win the Women’s 10m Air Rifle T3 at the ongoing National Selection Trials in New Delhi.

    The 21-year-old Mehuli prevailed 16-8 against Tilottama in the gold medal match. Tokyo Olympian Elavenil Valarivan of Gujarat, who shot a brilliant 632.0 to top the qualification, took the bronze.

    2018 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Mehuli was placed sixth with a qualification score of 629.1 while Tilottama was placed seventh with the same score but with lesser inner 10s.

    In the Junior Women 10m Air Rifle T3, Zeena Khitta of Himachal Pradesh emerged triumphant with a 17-11 scoreline over Ramita of Haryana.

    2019 National Champion Zeena shot the second best qualification score of 629.1 while Ramita was placed fourth with 628.6.

    The bronze was won by Nancy of Haryana who was placed sixth with a qualification score of 627.8.

    In the Youth category, Nancy overcame Isha Anil Taksale of Maharashtra 16-4 in the gold medal match.

    Yukthi Rajendra of Karnatka took the bronze.

    Isha was placed fourth with a qualification score of 626.6 while Yukthi was placed 5th with 626.4.
