    Manu Bhaker crowned Junior World Champion

    India’s Manu Bhaker was able to put behind Tokyo Olympic disappointment to become the junior world champion in Women 10m Air Pistol at the ongoing ISSF Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru.

    The 19-year-old Manu, who is also the reigning Youth Olympic champion, shot a score of 241.3 (574) to win the yellow metal with a margin of 1.3 point.

    Another Indian Esha Singh won the silver with 240.0 (572) while Yasemin Beyza Yilmaz of Turkey took the bronze with 217.9 (572).

    The third Indian in the final, Rhythm Sangwan finished 4th with 198.7 (577).

    Camille Jedezejewski of France, who shot the best qualification score of 580, finished 5th in the final with 177.1 in a field of 49 shooters.
