    National Shooting: Triple Gold for Rajveer Singh Gill in Skeet

    Rajveer Singh Gill of Punjab claimed three gold medals, winning the Men’s Skeet, Junior Men’s Skeet and Junior Men’s Skeet team titles at the ongoing 64th National Shooting Championship (Shotgun) in Patiala.

    Rajveer made the final’s cut coming off a shoot-off in qualification to claim the sixth and final spot after finishing with a score of 119 along with three others.

    He was in his element in the 60-shot final though, hitting a scorching 56 targets to leave Anantjeet Singh Naruka of Rajasthan in silver position with 52 (121).

    Seasoned Mairaj Ahmed Khan of Uttar Pradesh, a two-time Olympian, won bronze with 45 (119).

    Rajveer won the junior gold with 55 (119). Silver was won by Abhay Singh Sekhon (Punjab) 53 (109) while Munek Battula took the bronze with 46 (120).
